Monday Morning Mug

If you are like me you are not a morning person. Every morning I wish I could just endlessly hit the snooze button. I eventually get out of bed and start my morning routine. Until I have had my coffee in the morning I am a grumpy cat and if you try to talk to me or ask me anything the answer will always be NO! Since I do not like repeating myself or saying anything before my coffee hopefully my mug will save me the time and aggravation of doing it myself. This cup is a great addiction to the office as well. When I have annoying coworkers asking me questions or wanting me to waste my time on something they can do themselves I just raise my cup to them and send them on their way.  Click the image to get yours or not the choice is yours.

Chomp Cherry Pies Faster with Cherry Chomper

With the holidays coming up I sure pies are on at least one of the menus. I love pies making them and eating them. One of the few things I hate about the pie making process is pitting cherries to put into the pie. My favorite is cherry I just wished there was a better way. I found the cutest solution to my baking trouble. This task is now so easy even a child can do it. The “Cherry Chomper” perfectly pits cherries and other small fruit. The cherries stay whole and you do not lose much of it during the pitting process. The only thing left behind is a small X and pit shaped whole. The rest of the cherry is can be preserved for preserves. The blade is protected so only cherries are chomped no fingers which is great. Little ones can now help in the kitchen and have fun this holiday season or anytime. It is a great way to get yourself to eat more fruit or for juicing. Cute or Creepy?

Since when did spiders become so cute? Every time I come across a spider my first instinct is to run away not gaze into those big dark eyes and fuzzy face. Perhaps this is the itsy bitsy spider. Click on the image for a whole gallery of cute spiders. Maybe next time you see one it will be cute and not so scary you jump up on furniture

Have A Hello Kitty Thanksgiving

It doesn't matter if you are vegetarian or not. I do not think that I ever had the desire to eat Hello Kitty until now. I know there have been tons of Hello Kitty food related items everything from Ramen to Beer. I know there have been hundreds of holiday items from Sanrio, something about inverting Hello Kitty to look like she has been cooking on high at 460 degrees seems a bit much. If you would like to get your hands on this or the hamburger version for an everyday food item try this Hello Kitty Food Plush

Kawaii defined

Welcome to the cute kawaii shop official blog. This site is designed to be your cute headquarters. It will keep you updated on the cutest trends, fashion, food and culture that are kawaii. For those who have never heard of kawaii let me explain. Kawaii is the Japanese word for cute. It is a subculture of Japanese society that is also sweeping the western world. The origins of kawaii are said to be in the 70’s. Japanese women who were aging out of school started writing on their notebook in bubble letters. They wore pastel colors and in styles that were viewed as childlike apart from the roles their society was pressuring them to take as adults.
Now kawaii is an adjective for anything that softens the heart. It is what creates motherly instincts yet kawaii is not gender specific. In the past the word was used to describe things of a tiny nature but now can be applied to everything from people to planes. The cute crazy gave rise to many iconic figures like Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma. In the 1980’s a popular art form known as manga popularized kawaii girls as cute but with very strong characters making them endearing role models we know and love today.
